Dan Protzman

Dan has been professionally consulting with many customers throughout the world since 2014. He has implemented improvement projects in many different sectors including: Manufacturing, Medical Devices, Banking, as well as Sales, Offices, Insurance Services and Healthcare. Dan has had the fortune of visiting Japan on multiple occasions where he has toured many of Toyota's top tier providers learning Lean tools at the source. Personally trained by Ritsuo Shingo, Isao Yoshino, Norman Bodek, and Takashi Harada, during his trips, Dan works hard on putting these learnings and practices into real-life results with the companies and individuals he works with.

In 2019 Dan partnered with Toyota Connected and was on a team of coaches at Toyota Financial Services training others in Agile, Lean, Scrum, and Complexity.

In 2017 Dan served as interim area manager during an organizational transformation for a steel company in Virginia.

He has co-authored the books One-Piece Flow vs. Batching, and The BASICS Lean® Implementation Model, Implementing Lean, and is working on additional books to be published over the next few years.

He is also certified as a coach for the Lean Leadership Institute, is a certified Harada Instructor, Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) professional, and a Toyota Certified Scrum Master and Trainer.

Dan holds a BA degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Blacksburg, Virginia May 2009.
