Brian Whelan

Brian Whelan grew up in London, of Irish parents. Typical of many Irish immigrants, his father worked for London Transport before moving on to the building trade and factories. His mother worked in the National Health Service.

After his training at the Royal Academy of Arts, Brian lived and worked in East Anglia, England developing art projects for the Arts Council of Great Britain, before becoming a full-time artist in 2008. His colorful figurative paintings can be found in public institutions and private collections worldwide including Norwich Cathedral, St Edmundsbury Cathedral and in hotels along the Camino to Santiago de Compostela . Aside from painting and writing, Brian has had two films produced and one play.
