Ilja Bohnet

Ilja Bohnet has a PhD in physics working in the headquarters of a large non-university scientific organization in Berlin. He also writes crime novels, short stories and non-fiction. The crime novel "Freitags essen man Fisch" (Ariadne at Argument Verlag), which was co-produced with his mother, the actress Ann-Monika Pleitgen, was nominated for the Friedrich-Glauser-Prize in the category "Best Debut" in 2010. In spring of 2019, his adapted versions of a short story were nominated for the KaroKrimiPreis as well as the Wunderwasser-Krimipreis, the latter of which he won at the final reading on June 19 in Tambach-Dietharz. Ilja Bohnet has four children and lives in Berlin. In autumn 2020 his first popular science book on physics was published by KOSMOS Verlag: "Die 42 größten Rätsel der Physik".
