David Lummus

David Lummus holds a B.A. summa cum laude in Italian and Classics from the University of Texas at Austin and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Italian from Stanford University. He has taught Italian literature at Stanford, Yale, and Notre Dame, where he is a member of the Italian faculty in the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures. His research focuses on fourteenth-century Italian literature (Boccaccio, Dante, & Petrarch) and its reception.
