Steve Blay

Steve Blay is a software engineer and poker coach. He is the founder and programmer behind AdvancedPokerTraining.com, which allows members to learn while playing poker against over 8000 lifelike opponents. Since 2009, the site has had over 50,000 members from 175 countries.

Blay received national attention when his computerized simulation correctly predicted Qui Nguyen's dominating victory at the WSOP Main Event. When the news reached Qui's family, they flew him to Las Vegas to serve as Qui's poker advisor during the Final Table.

Blay is also a certified chess coach and poker tournament director.

In 2017, Blay directed the Secrets of the World Champions seminar at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas. He also produced a series of hand review videos with 2017 World Champion Scott Blumstein.

In 2018, Blay was an invited guest at US Special Operations Command (US-SOCOM) in Tampa, regarding the usage of artificial intelligence for the benefit of our Elite Special Forces. The all-day panel discussion featured military leaders and civilian experts in artificial intelligence and machine learning.

In 2019, after two years of research, Blay released OmahaPokerTraining.com, the first training site with GTO-style Pot-Limit Omaha virtual opponents. CardPlayer Magazine ran the story.

In 2020, Steve made some brief appearances in the movie Poker Queens, a movie about gender disparities in poker. During the filming of the movie, he served as advisor to one of the women poker players participating in the WSOP.
