I am a mom, business owner, entrepreneur, mayor’s wife, and published writer. My life experiences have taught me the importance of continual learning, of staying educated on what’s working in the business arena, and finding time for selfcare and personal priorities to perform at my best. I’ve enjoyed success and failed miserably. This helps me help others engage with the audience, elevate their brand, and feel empowered in business. My goal is to help others get from Point A to Point B in the fastest, easiest, and least painful way. That’s the test for every book, resource, and training I am involved in even though it goes against my want-to-know-it-all-share-it-all Type A personality.

Here’s the rest of my story:

I graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia and earned my MBA from The Citadel. I am published in the creative nonfiction genre including multiple editions of Chicken Soup for the Soul, Not Your Mothers Books, the Chocolate for Women series, numerous anthologies, Guideposts, Woman’s Day, and national and international business, lifestyle, and real estate magazines.

My writing, marketing, and public relations projects have won national and international awards including the prestigious CNBC International Property Awards in London, National School Public Relations Association, Addy Awards, and Southeastern Writers Association Conference nonfiction, humor, and inspirational writing awards.

I am the co-founder and CEO of Authors Ignite International where I also focus on brand strategy, business growth, and success mentoring. I enjoy working with my daughter Meredith Brown, Co-founder, Brand Strategist & Digital Trainer, and our partner Jessica Nash, Creative Director and Technology Manager.
