Greg McLaughlin

Greg McLaughlin grew up in Avon, CT and Matunuck, RI and now lives in Greenwich, CT. He graduated in 1991 with a degree in Creative Writing and a minor in Film Studies from Rhode Island College. He later earned his MBA at the University of Connecticut and has pursued a 25-year career in Journalism, Marketing, Business Operations and Management Consulting.

He's written 14 full-length fictional novels over the past 20 years, completing 12 self-published books as well as a personal memoir and his latest fictional romantic drama called “Heading for Home”, released through his new publisher, Winding Road Stories.

His best selling series consists of three books; “Matunuck”, "Erosion" and “Moonstone”, all set in the quaint South County beach community of Matunuck, Rhode Island.

Primarily a writer in the romance, romantic drama, romantic comedy and political thriller genres, Greg recently accepted the challenge of his pre-teenaged niece to write a middle grade drama about magic and skiing so she could read and enjoy it. As a result, Greg published the fun, whimsical and slightly creepy novel; "Maggie Skeeter's Magic Skis" to fulfill the promise he made.

His novel, "Il Pleure Dans Mon Couer", is a co-written fictional spy thriller set in 1960's Cold War Paris with his now-deceased father, Greg McLaughlin, Sr. Greg Sr. started the novel in the early 70's, completing about a third of the manuscript. Greg Jr. finished it on his behalf a few years back, soon after his beloved father passed away.

Also, Greg's inspirational personal memoir , "Headlock", tells the story of his recent mission to lose 80 pounds, rebuild the strength he had in his 20's as an elite collegiate wrester and battle back into top athletic shape - all in his late 40's - in a bid to ultimately compete in the USA Wrestling Senior National Championship. Now, well into his 50's he's still at it!

Greg's latest novel, "Heading for Home" represents a new chapter in his writing journey as his first traditionally published novel with his new publisher Winding Road Stories - hopefully the first of many to come.
