Linda Nusbaum is a family therapist who has been treating couples and individuals for the last 18 years. She found this to be not only her life’s work, but her passion: helping people in relationships feel better about the person they love, and helping people in general feel better about themselves.
Before becoming a therapist, Linda reported on thousands of news events throughout the country. This field gave her numerous skills that she applies in her work today. She can observe and analyze quickly, find ways to summarize complex ideas and simplify.
Linda writes extensively about couples and relationships and just being human. You can read her articles at www.counselinglongbeach.com/blog/. Her books include "Safe. Happy. Loved. Simple Skills for Your Relationship," and "How to Get There From Here: A Guide for Marriage and Family Therapist Interns."
Linda volunteers her time at Homeboy Industries in downtown Los Angeles, helping former gang members and prisoners through her classes titled “Getting to Know Yourself” that involve understanding motivation and what gets in the way of being our best.
