Rusty Mullins

I have written all of my life. It is one of the things that satisfies me. I have written in many forms- a newspaper reporter, editor, sports writer and columnist. I have written for magazines and newsletters. Most of my writing has been in the form of sermons I have written most weeks for many years. I am currently the Senior Pastor of New Highland Baptist Church in Mechanicsville, VA.

I have been writing Christian fiction for years but never felt ready to share my stories. This year I began a series on social media about growing up in southwestern Virginia. Those stories developed an audience and I published my first “Old Wise Tales.” Now that I have broken the ice, several more books will follow!

I have also been credentialed as a coach and am developing a coaching ministry for those going through grief. I will also have books on that front soon.

I think writing is a blessing and I am thankful I have the opportunity to share my heart and thoughts with my readers.
