Ryan Perez

Ryan Perez is a writer, entrepreneur, and Brazilian jiu jitsu competitor. Originally from Miami, he currently lives and works in Medellin, Colombia.

Prior to becoming an author, Ryan was the Chief Marketing Officer of a company that he co-founded (Urban Drones), a tech start-up that manufactured the first waterproof consumer drone on the market.

Far from always having been an achiever, Ryan struggled with mediocrity all his life until he developed a passion for and began competing in Brazilian jiu jitsu. He would use the principles he learned on the mat to overcome his fears, transform his character, and create his writing career. Because of the positive impact jiu jitsu had on Ryan’s life, he is now an evangelist for the martial arts lifestyle.

Killing Weakness is Ryan’s first book. When he’s not writing, reading, or training, Ryan enjoys hiking and watching streaming series with his dogs, Cain, an Italian mastiff and Sammy, an american bully.
