Born Raylene Young, to Allen Hayman and Ivory Williams, in Wilmington, Delaware, On July 25, 1975.
At the young age of 2 she moved to a small town called Portsmouth, Virginia. While living in Virginia she was adopted by her step dad Barry Williams and given his last name. Here she lived with her family until around the age of 16. Which time she moved back to Delaware to live with her biological father.
Writing all her life since she knew how to use words, helped her win an award for a poem she wrote in 7th grade. Which was Featured in a Writing Magazine winning second place. She did this while attending Waters Junior High School. Her English teacher was the first person who told her she had the gift of writing.
She started her own Publishing Company In 2020 Called In Other Wordz Publishing. Words and how they are used have always been of great interest to her. Her books are encouraging to women and men as well. Her writings makes you think from a different perspective.. As a means of expressing herself ,Raylene began to write about events and problems she faced growing up in a dysfunctional family. She talks about issues that people don't want to discuss like rape, abuse, trauma and mental illness just to name a few. Writing became a outlet for her to express her feelings and also help her dream of becoming a famous author.
As an Emotional Writer, Raylene, writes material that establishes something meaningful between her and her readers. As most of her writings, are about life events. She expresses her art through Poems and Non Fiction novels, Self help and Self motivational books. Her biggest motivation has been her children and the hopes of a better You better Me.
