Chris Menton

Chris Menton has a bachelors in Human Development from Curry College where he was enrolled in the first comprehensive program for college students with learning disabilities. He completed a twenty year career with the Massachusetts Department of Correction. From Boston University, he earned a Masters in Criminal Justice/Human Service Personnel Training at the start of his career and a Doctorate in Education in Societal Studies. Menton is professor emeritus at Roger Williams University. He has been in the media, presented and published on a number of topics.

He is a student of the bicycle. He rides bicycles to get to work, to explore states and countries, to run errands and a number of other activities. He conducted the first research study of police bicycle patrols, is a nationally certified cycling instructor and a member of the Rhode Island Bicycle Coalition board of directors. He has designed innovative cycles and bikeways. Recently completed National Highway Institute Bicycle Facility Design, Training Course
