David W. Erdman

David W. Erdman writes books about his remarkably diverse experiences. His book “The Ten Commandments of Marriage: Secrets of a Divorce Lawyer” captures the lessons learned in dealing with more than 5,000 divorce clients. His book “100 Lost Architectural Treasures of Old Charlotte” presents a picture-filled history of Charlotte NC where he resides.

Erdman is a former member of the Charlotte City Council. Perhaps even more notably, he worked as an investigator on the U. S. Senate Watergate hearings. He attended Duke University on an academic Scholarship and was the first graduate of Duke’s Biomedical Engineering program. While in law school at Georgetown University, he was elected National President of the Law Student Division of the American Bar Association.

Professionally, Erdman has been recognized by publications including Business North Carolina Magazine, The Mecklenburg Times, North Carolina Lawyers Weekly and Business Leader Magazine, often citing his innovative uses of technology in the practice of law.

David is married to Lynn Erdman, Executive Director of the breast-cancer organization, Carolina Breast Friends.
