I am a practitioner-analyst with a relentless focus on why and how. My work blends over 20 years of front-line advising large organizations with 12 years of data and trends from my global research about the organization in the digital age.

I recently keynoted sessions at two top universities in Europe, speaking to the alumni network at the London Business School and the graduates at the Executive MBA program at the Berlin School of Creative Leadership. Attendees were working people looking for inspiration about their new work lives.

I have worked with healthcare companies, industrial and retail operations, and United Nations agencies, among many others.

I have conducted 10 annual surveys on the internal digital work environments of over 300 organizations between 2006 and 2016 and written yearly reports. Over recent years, I noticed trends building up into a new movement, a sort of internal civil disobedience. This led to my 2018 research about the gig mindset inside organizations and the writing of The Gig Mindset Advantage.

I have published articles in HBR Digital, the MIT Sloan Management Review and the Global Peter Drucker Forum Blog.

Born in Nebraska, my young days in Arizona and university in California, I now live in Provence, France, just minutes away from the Roman Pont du Gard, the 2,000-year-old bridge that is a constant reminder of the balance I (and we all) need between the past and the present.
