I live in Colchester, Vermont with my husband, daughter and our rescue dog Pokey. For many years I taught at Shelburne Farms, an old estate which now runs as a working farm and agricultural education center. I have been around animals my whole life and it turns out that some things that happen in real life can make fun stories! I now enjoy working in a local technical center teaching high school students how to be early childhood educators. In my free time I like to be creative with art projects, spend time on the water or the snow, create something in the kitchen or just spend time with my family and friends. I am an amature photographer and I love taking shots in nature and while traveling around. My first book 'The Donkeys Day Out' began as a handmade project for a college class and didn't really begin to take its current form until I had some extra time on my hands during the quarantine of early 2020.
