Chaya Passow

About The Author

Chaya Passow is a graduate of Stern College in New York, majoring in English literature. She taught English at Leyada, the Hebrew University High School, an elite secondary school in Jerusalem. A sought-after lecturer and teacher of Jewish studies both in formal and informal settings, she is one of the founders of Lomdot and Melamdot, a program for advanced women's Torah learning based in Jerusalem. She has had multiple careers, including significant periods as a Weight Watchers lecturer, a small-business executive, and a teacher of Jewish subjects in elementary school in the U.S.A. Since immigrating to Israel in 2002, she has been living her dream of residing in Jerusalem, together with her husband, Eli, and enjoying being savta (grandmother) to a large cohort of beautiful grandchildren.
