JB Caverty

The author formerly known as Katelyn Rice is a transgender man who now writes nonfiction and children's books under his new name JB Caverty. His son is also transgender and sometimes helps with the research and writing process.

Caverty started professionally writing non-fiction in 2011 with Teacher Created Materials, and published seven books alongside their excellent publishing team. He intends to return to working with TCM after earning his Bachelor's Degree.

He hopes to use his writing to get more LGBTQ+ resources, role models, and representation into the hands of LGBTQ+ kids, with a primary focus on uplifting and empowering transgender youth.
