Edward Kee Edward Kee is the CEO, Founder, and principal consultant of Nuclear Economics Consulting Group (NECG).
He is an expert on nuclear power economics and provides strategic and economic advice to companies and governments on nuclear power and electricity industry issues. He has testified as an expert witness in US and international legal and arbitration cases.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the International Framework for Nuclear Energy Cooperation (IFNEC), and the US Civil Nuclear Trade Advisory Committee (CINTAC) have recognized Mr. Kee as a nuclear power industry expert.
Before founding NECG, he held senior consulting positions at NERA Economic Consulting, CRA International, PA Consulting Group, Putnam, Hayes & Bartlett, and McKinsey & Company. Earlier, he was a merchant power plant developer and a nuclear power plant engineer in the US Navy.
He writes and publishes NECG Commentaries on nuclear economics issues.
Edward has published articles on nuclear power and the electricity industry in the Wall Street Journal, World Nuclear News, Nuclear Engineering International, ANS Nuclear News, Nuclear power International, the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, The Electricity Journal, and Public Utilities Fortnightly.
He has taught courses on nuclear economics and related matters for the International Atomic Energy Agency and has been a guest lecturer for university courses, client workshops, and board meetings.
Edward Kee has an MBA from Harvard University and a B.S. in Systems Engineering (Distinction, Trident Scholar, Colt’s Award) from the US Naval Academy.
He completed the US Navy nuclear power training program before his assignment to the USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) nuclear-powered aircraft carrier during construction and was qualified to serve as chief engineering officer on Nimitz-class nuclear aircraft carriers.
