Children intrigue - their development and reactions are interesting, and yes, exciting. It is rewarding to see a smile, and often surprise, on a child's face when they achieve new goals in therapy and at home. Enjoyment is one of the main takeaways of being a paediatric occupational therapist.

Parents with concerns, and few answers to many questions, are thrilled to gain understanding of a puzzling child. Supporting families through play and activity ideas to use at home are welcomed. My books are to support parents and their children. Not to spoon feed parents but to empower them through gaining knowledge and through sharing effective strategies. Books, presentations, blogs and CoordiKids Home Courses are to help challenged families, making life easier in different ways.

At first, my life is devoted to my family. Secondly, to the people I know through my work as a therapist, as a course developer and as an author. I have trialled other avenues, from art, gardening and various businesses, but nothing can compete with the joy from working with children and their families.
