As a full-time world traveler and journalist since 2019, the past few years have been interesting! I started my Travel Younger blog the day we left Los Angeles, and over a five plus year period we have visited 43 countries, and over 50 in total. My newest book, "The History and Magic of Northern Greece," shares Kat and my 31 day motorcycle journey through 15 cities in northern Greece--places that are usually not on travelers' radars! It was co-written by my Greek partner, Sofia, who also tells HER story, from a more personal, and historic viewpoint. It offer scores of full color pictures and may open up a new destination to you!
If you'd like the details of how our journey started, please enjoy “Nomadic Life for All Ages,” which shares secrets and travel hacks, along with addressing the mental and emotional process of traveling for longer periods of time. It is CURRENT to 2023, since travel HAS changed over the past few years.
Meanwhile, I wrote a few other books, some fiction, and some non-fiction, including:
COVIDstories, which shares “Positive Lessons that Started Very, Very Badly..." and is a collaboration of 19 writers (The COVID19 Collective) from seven different countries, all sharing how their lives improved after or during COVID. New opportunities, re-engaging with nature or old relationships rekindled, plus LOVE, lots of love stories came from the pandemic.
We never know where new stories and ideas come from, but in 2021 I met the #1 Elvis impersonator in Las Vegas and he shared some of his stories. I said, "That would make a great book," and he said, "I was thinking the same thing!" so we made it happen in our latest book called "Follow That Dream." If you are an Elvis fan, or know someone who is, check it out.
I also wrote a novella, “The World Series of OZ,” which literally started as a dream which I recalled, and turned into the story of THE Wizard of Oz, and about his love of baseball. He coaches The Marvels, who desperately want to play the “other team,” the Serpents, coached by who else but the Wicked Witch of the West—Evillene. All the OZ characters are included, including the Tin Man, The Cowardly Lion, and of course, the lovable Scarecrow. It’s a fun read for kids and a great bedtime story.
“Alien Gifts” is a three-part series that addresses the question, “What powers would you like to have for one year, and how would you use them?” For geeks and sci-fan lovers, it’s a cute story.
More subjects and titles are coming, so I hope you enjoy all of my books.
