"Leadership Practices for Healthy Lands: Building the Capacity to Sustain Valuable Lands and Waters" is Don Kent PhD's second technical book. Valuable lands and waters continue to decline despite the extraordinary conservation and management efforts by intelligent, committed, and passionate practitioners and billions of dollars in spending. "Leadership Practices for Healthy Lands: Building the Capacity to Sustain Our Valuable Lands and Waters" details practices to augment existing regulatory, protection, and education efforts by improving science, technology, sociology, economics, and policy outcomes.

Don is the principal and founder of Healthy Lands, created to achieve well-being and prosperity for all by sharing knowledge and advancing practices to sustain lands and waters. The Healthy Lands website (https://www.healthylands.org/) includes an introduction to the importance of knowledge, strategy, and leadership for sustaining valuable lands and waters, an expanding blog, and more detailed information about strategy and leadership.

For more than 30 years, Don has worked in social-ecological systems to promote healthy, resilient, and sustainable lands that support people and ecosystems.
