Clydell Coates

Clydell Coates was born in St. Louis in June of 1980. A man bred from humble beginnings with gigantic dreams. He had early aspirations of playing basketball at NBA level. Growing up in a rough neighbor, the saving grace was the opportunity to play basketball in rain sleet and snow which kept him from diving headlong into the drug trade which saturated the neighborhood as a kid. Thankfully, God change the pursuit of the NBA as He had greater plans use Clydell in various spaces of ministry. Clydell has been an associate minister at a large metropolitan church, an adult Sunday school teacher and has completed a Christian Hip Hop album entitled “Beautiful” which is available on Apple Music.

God has presented him with a keen ability to speak right to your world, your heart, and the core of your situation with biblical principles to help you overcome life's challenges. Growing up in a space that was not quite the most impoverished, but far from well-to-do environments has given Clydell the experiences to reach people of all lifestyles. He is a bold speaker with a love of God’s Word, always seeking innovative ways to reach those who may not have ever set foot in a church door. Having reached a hip-hop generation with the good news of Jesus Christ, through music, in a way that upheld biblical truth with upbeat relevance and fun. The Lord has now opened the door to take the same creative writing used to construct poetic lyrics has matured into the literary encouragement of inspirational books. Clydell has written four insightful and encouraging books to help people understand God has a great love for His people and we can make it through the toughest situations in this world if we grow stronger in our relationship with God.

The most recent work entitled, "My Sex Life is Guided By My Prayer Life: A Purity Devotional" published in 2020, was created to encourage the heart of the reader to make every effort to remain holy before the LORD regarding sexual purity. "Marriage in a Millennial World: Successful Marriage in a Vibrant New World" is my personal experience that marriage is a beautiful thing when you learn how to connect with your spouse as your best friend and dynamic duo building life together. "GOD HAS COVID: Safety In His Sovereignty" I illustrate that the Glory of God cannot be diminished, usurped, or eradicated! We may have been acquainted with the most horrific time in history due to the Covid-19 pandemic. However, God is certainly still in control. Moreover, in my book "Haters: Loving Right Through It" I have provided pertinent and effective responses to the haters in our lives by utilizing the God-given ability to love right through it.
