David Bannister

I was born in Northern Ireland in the early sixties. I have worked in engineering since leaving school. I am married with two grown up daughters who are the inspiration for me to start writing. When they were growing up, I read bedtime stories to them. When we had finished our bedtime story, they would often say, tell me a story out of your head. I usually did, even though I knew it was a way for them to stay up longer. They enjoyed the stories I made up and in later years they said I should put my books to print. I never had the time until now. My stories are usually made up from things I have seen or done. I have always wanted to write and produce a series of books for children and I think possibly my daughter’s dog Toby has given me the scope to write down the words in my head. I have written three books so far and published them on Amazon In paperback and Kindle format. Book - 4 is underway and the story is based on Toby having an adventure in the Mourne Mountains Co Down NI.
