Vreny Van Elslande

Vreny Van Elslande is considered one of So Cal’s top guitar and music teachers. His client roster includes Brian Bell (Weezer), Nicolas Cage (son Weston), Leah King whose dad is one of The Commodores, Laru Larrieux (Amel Larrieux), Vanessa Williams (daughter), Kimberly Elise and Teena Marie (daughter), just to name a few.

Born in Ypres (Belgium) in 1971, Vreny started playing guitar when he was 16. He completed a 10-year classical guitar & composition study in 7 years with high honors. He then moved to Boston to study at Berklee College of Music, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with 2 Degrees in Guitar Performance and Music Production & Engineering.

In 2002, Vreny left Boston for Los Angeles, where he restarted his teaching business. He performed and co-wrote songs with various artists, won songwriting awards, appeared on TV in the US and Belgium, got his songs on the radio, and reached 12th place in the Billboard charts. Vreny LOVES vanilla and ube ice cream, Suhr guitars, The Beatles, Queen & ABBA, long walks and hikes, teaching, writing, playing guitar, reading, writing music, playing with his son and rocking out. He lives in Santa Clarita with his wife and son.
