Petra A. Robinson

Petra A. Robinson, PhD. Is Associate Professor in the School of Leadership and Human Resource Development and Director of Faculty of Affairs & Professional Development in the College of Human Sciences & Education at Louisiana State University. She is also a Faculty Fellow with the Office of Academic Affairs and the Learning and Teaching Collaborative.

Dr. Robinson earned her PhD in Educational Administration and Human Resource Development with a focus on Adult Education from Texas A & M University. Her research centers on issues related to colorism, critical literacies, diversity, equity and social justice in adult and higher education as well as on global citizenship and professional development in the academy. She has presented at several national and international conferences, authored peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, white papers, and books on these topics. She has also won several awards for her research, teaching, service, and advocacy for diversity.
