Alex Simmons

Alex Simmons is an award-winning freelance writer, writing coach/teacher, and arts-n-ed consultant. He’s written for Disney Books, Penguin-Random House, and Marvel/DC/Archie Comics. Simmons created the acclaimed adventure series Blackjack. He’s developed scripts for plays, documentaries, interactive live shows, and animation projects. Simmons has been an international guest speaker, served on numerous panels, and delivered lectures on empowering young people through the arts worldwide. He founded the annual family event, Kids Comic Con, as well as three comic arts exhibits, which have traveled abroad. He shares his experience and skills teaching screenwriting at the New York Film Academy and coaching other aspiring writers clients.
