Imran Kasam

For the past 18 years, I have been working with enterprise hardware and software. I started in the US Marine Corps working with satellite communications, computer networking, and cryptography. Following an honorable discharge in 2007, I worked in infrastructure management and end-user support for 10 years. I focused on supporting a major retail brand with a global technology company and working with unique startups in RFID compliance monitoring and life sciences spaces.

I started in low code with MS SharePoint and WordPress to build functional web apps, which led to my fortunate encounter with Mendix in 2012, a truly robust low code platform. Using Mendix, I enabled a life sciences company, which provided tumor diagnostics services, to deliver proprietary technology to help Oncologists make the best choices in finding treatments for cancer patients.

In 2016 I helped bring Mendix to real estate by building a software engineering team, centered around the platform, for a fledgling brokerage that would become a multi-billion-dollar global Real Estate brokerage over the next four years.

I have Mendix Rapid, Advanced, and Expert Certifications and was named a Mendix Community MVP in 2019.
