Ginger Welch is a professor, author, public speaker, and licensed psychologist specializing in issues related to trauma and health for young children and their families. Her works include The Neglected Child and How Can I Help: A Teacher's Guide to Early Childhood Mental Health, and she was the co-editor of the 2017 volume Family Resilience and Chronic Illness: Interdisciplinary and Translational Perspectives. She is passionate about getting practical psychology into the hands of teachers and parents, and is a frequent trainer for Kaplan Early Learning as well as a presenter at educational conferences throughout North America. When she's not working, she spends her time learning French and perfecting her putt, both of which she's pretty terrible at, as well as walking her dog, watching British television, and baking up anything with loads of sugar in it. Follow her infrequent tweeting @gingerwelch20 or email gingerwelchphd@gmail.com to inquire about speaking engagements.
