For over thirty years, I have lived the life of small town lawyer Atticus Finch here on the Chesapeake Bay. “A Silent Tide”, winner of the 2014 National Indie Excellence Award for best legal thriller in the country, was my first full-length novel and hopefully captures the magic of the people, the seafood and the natural majesty of Mathews, Virginia. I also penned the follow-up novella, “Tiffany’s Tale”. My most recent work is the newly published, "A Silent Siege." As a father of five, education is important to me. I am a twice elected member of our local school board and wrote the non-fiction work, “A School in Pennsylvania” as well as the 15th annual Chesapeake Bay Writers Conference award winner, “The Death of Redemption”. Practicing primarily criminal law, I was the featured defense attorney on the CBS Program “48 Hours Mystery – The Taylor Behl Murder”.
