Jo Dodd

Jo Dodd was born in England and grew up in the beautiful Dorset countryside. At 21, she traveled to the United States for an internship, little knowing she’d fall in love, start a family, and make the U.S. her home. In 2020, Jo stepped away from a 25-year career in corporate America to focus on her own business: Jotopia Productions, where she writes books for children and moms.

Jo's children's books focus on the power of positive thinking, embracing diversity and crushing fear. Her most recent book, Dear Mama Bear with the F*cked Up Hair, is a one-of-a-kind picture book for moms. It tells an authentic, dark, poignant, sometimes funny, tale of motherhood and is based on Jo's journey with depression. Jo is an advocate for mental health awareness and is on a mission to help moms around the world speak up about their struggles and learn that they are not alone.
