Suzanne O'Brien

Suzanne O’Brien has been in the staffing industry for over 14 years. She has successfully led teams for some of the largest Staffing agencies in WA and OR, including the second-largest global staffing agency. She has placed tens of thousands of candidates in their dream jobs and in turn, helped her clients find the right fit for their teams. Suzanne is very passionate about the Staffing Industry and enjoys building long-lasting relationships with clients and candidates.

Blake Rian Staffing began in 2018. With a 15-month-old son at home and one on the way, Suzanne conquered her fear, and took a leap of faith by following her dreams of entrepreneurship. She decided to name the company after her soon to be daughter, Blake Rian. Blake Rian Consulting was Incorporated directly from her living room, immediately after the decision was made.

Suzanne incorporated her vision of building meaningful, long-lasting relationships and created a vision for her company. The company’s main goal is to partner with their clients and candidates and truly understand what each side is looking to achieve during the hiring process. She is a firm believer that although a resume is important, it is no more than a basic blueprint of someone’s experience. Suzanne recognizes that by sharing a candidate’s story with her clients, they get a better understanding of the candidate’s unique contribution. She brings clarity to her clients, so they gain an understanding of what they really need in an employee, which is not always what the client originally envisioned.

During her journey, she joined the WBENC – Women’s Business Enterprise National Council. Suzanne has a passion for empowering women and helping lift them up to achieve their goals. Her experience and business accomplishments caught the eye of T&S Publishing, and from there, she was asked to participate in a book deal entitled, “Women in Business Leading the Way”. Her book became an instant Amazon Best Seller. Suzanne actively participates in her community to support girls in STEM and Technology. She is also a member of the American Staffing Association, Staffing Industry Analysts, Society for Human Resource Management, and the Lake Washington Human Resource Association.
