Andrea Van Boven is a cross cultural missionary, historian, prayer consultant, blogger, and the author of: A Little Drop of Love: Henrietta Mears, How She Helped Change a Generation and You Can Too
With over 40 years of vocational ministry experience around the world, Andrea brings a depth of personal experience to this biography and its application. Her 32 years on the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ, now CRU, gives her a particular knowledge of how Henrietta Mears worked, because of the impact Mears had on Bill and Vonette Bright, founders of CRU, who lived with Mears the initial 10 years of CRU.
Along with her diverse, personal ministry experiences, Andrea has a BA in History from Indiana University, and a MA in Church History from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Andrea, like Miss Mears, is convinced that prayer is the indispensable first step to everything else we do for the Kingdom of God. Also, the key to a vibrant prayer life is one’s personal relationship with God. Andrea began writing a weekly blog in 2013 that you can check out and sign up for at: multifacetedblog.net. The idea is to begin a discourse on the multifaceted nature of our Creator, and our relationship with this amazingly loving, and Living God. Her own photography is one of the means she uses to connect people with our Creator in her blog. She will take most any excuse to get out of doors to enjoy creation.
Having lived through extensive sicknesses in Africa, a coup d’état in Mali, and other physical and spiritual challenges, Andrea choses to grow ever deeper in love with God and His ways. As a Mother of two married children she is thrilled to add, “grandmother,” to her resume. Andrea lives in Massachusetts.
