Gail Clanton

As a writer and marketing professional, Gail Clanton was no stranger to words. However, it was after a few life challenges that she learned to more deeply appreciate their power. Now she uses words to help, heal, and transform lives. “I want others to understand the power of the pen,” she says.

Toward that end, Clanton uses her training as a professional life coach and a Christian life coach to help people who are going through their own periods of transition. As they embrace the significance of their stories, change happens and life gets better. She also hosts writing workshops for people who simply want to hone their skills in a fun, collaborative environment.

Her first solo book project, Sparkle in the Rain, is a collection of stories and inspiration to help readers keep going—no matter what. Part memoir, part devotional, and part storytelling, this Amazon bestselling book shares details of her divorce experience while also providing strategies and encouragement the reader can use when life’s lights grow dim. Readers see themselves in the stories and humor shared, and the book has become a favorite among book clubs.

Clanton’s work also appears in The Black Woman’s Book of Travel and Adventure, Our Fathers Which Art in Heaven, and Women Inspiring Nations.

Most recently she has provided women and men to share their stories in the "Living In the Key of Joy" anthologies series. Among the over 30 authors are several first-time writers

Clanton is a strong proponent of community and is the leader of several Facebook communities and she hosts conferences and seminars, both virtually and in person.

She holds a BA degree in Communication Arts and a MA in Journalism.
