Michael S. Whiting received his PhD from the University of Wales. He has taught Christian history for over 20 years, including in Africa, and is currently Associate Professor of Christian History and Leadership at Dallas Baptist University. Whiting is also the author of Luther in English: The Influence of his Theology of Law and Gospel on Early English Evangelicals (1525-35) (Pickwick Publications, 2010). He has contributed several book chapters on historical Christian leadership - Martin Luther, Walter Rauschenbusch, and Dietrich Bonhoeffer - and is also the author of a short work of fantasy fiction.
