Colby Flade

Colby Flade (he/him) is the author of The Smell of the Light Blue House in Summertime (2021), Menthol (2022), Short, Sweet, Simple: Love Poems (Bottlecap Press, 2022), The Fly & Odor (Beyond Words Literary, 2023), a pair of short stories, and It’s a Blue, Blue World (2024), which reached #12 on Amazon’s Bestseller List for New Poetry Book Releases. His newest chapbook, Café Quatrains: Sip While You Read, is out now from Bottlecap Press. A Midwest-based gay writer, artist, and coffee enthusiast, Flade works full-time in the Human Services field and serves as an editor for Berlin-based Beyond Words Literary Magazine.

His poetry & visual art pieces have appeared in The Oyez Review, Beyond Words Literary Magazine, Beyond Queer Words, Wild Roof Journal, Drunk Monkeys, The Bookends Review, The Closed Eye Open, Tiny Seed Literary Journal, Half and One, Get Griefy Magazine, Lilith’s Diaries, and elsewhere.
