Jessica Bowman

Jessica Bowman, the owner of Little Wildflower Books, is a wife to her high school sweetheart and a mother of four children. She studied child development and has had a long career working with children. She has been a teacher, worked in longitudinal studies for the U.S. Department of Education, and as an Analyst for child abuse prevention. Another passion of Jessica’s is quality improvement initiatives for children in the child welfare system.

Being a mother of four children, she thoroughly enjoyed learning and experiencing new things through her child’s eyes. Their

curiosity and imagination sparked her creativity in artwork and the stories she would tell them at bedtime. She has

a long-time love for writing and illustrating children’s books.

Many of her children’s books have sat in a dusty box in the attic while the love of motherhood and a full-time career whisked her away from her creative outlet. Only for a short time, as the children became older, she blew off that dusty box and began writing and illustrating again.

Jessica is the author and illustrator of the following books: Under the Moon, Outdoor Wonders, Wilty, The Journey to Find A Home, and The Mysterious Bird.
