Paul Lagunes

Paul Lagunes specializes in the study of corruption and corruption control. Lagunes’s most recent book, "The Eye and the Whip: Corruption Control in the Americas," was published by Oxford University Press. The book builds on extensive fieldwork and features three novel empirical studies that test hypotheses about bureaucratic corruption in Mexico, Peru, and New York City. He is also the co-editor of two academic volumes, and the author of a number of peer-reviewed journal articles, policy reports, and op-eds. Lagunes obtained his Ph.D. in Political Science from Yale University. He enjoys long, peaceful walks.
