Lorrie Nimsgern

Lorrie has a BA in business management and an MBA with an emphasis in operations. She began her education with an interest in pursuing political science and teaching, but after starting work in a veterinary hospital, she fell in love with that field and has been in it ever since. Lorrie has maintained her keen interest in American history, with an emphasis on the period of 1765-1865. She believes that an understanding and appreciation of past events is key to understanding present circumstances and that everyone can learn from history. Lorrie is most interested in the policies and events that forged the nation as we know it today. Her husband spent many years in an organization as a Civil War skirmisher, and together they explore the country's past. Lorrie and her husband live in Illinois, where they provide a loving environment for dogs in need of a forever home. In addition to their dogs, Lorrie enjoys gardening and quilting.
