Marilyn Spooner

Marilyn Spooner loved books for her entire life. A graduate of Haverhill Academy and a lifelong resident of Haverhill, Hew Hampshire, she retired after 25 years as the Patten North Haverhill Librarian. Her fascination with the written word inspired her second career as a writer of magazine and newspaper articles, as well as children’s books. Married to Parker J. Spooner and the mother of four children, grandmother to seven and great-grandmother to seven, she thrived on giving to children of all ages. It was her joy to furnish them with a healthy view of the world through reading. When she wasn’t spending time expanding her doll collection, she could be found with a book in her hand or at her computer screen composing her next project.
