Hello!
I am a peacebuilder with over 20 years of global experience as a conflict resolution teacher, trainer, facilitator, and mediator, earning tenure as an Associate Professor of Conflict Analysis and Dispute Resolution at Salisbury University. I have been particularly active in restorative justice, developing my own approach, which I call regenerative justice. I have a humanistic and compassionate style in conflict, always striving for greater social justice and equality. This has provided the basis for my three books: From No Way to A-OK: Resolving Conflicts with the Emotions First Approach, Harnessing Conflict's Potential: Turning Lightning into Light and The Generalist Approach to Conflict Resolution: A Guidebook, as well as numerous other book chapters and peer-reviewed journal articles. I have a PhD in social work and a Master's degree in conflict analysis and resolution.
I teach people the skills, values, and strategies that I have found useful when dealing with my own conflicts, both at home and at work. Understanding conflict is a great way to learn more about the world and become a better person. I hope my writing will help people get more confident, receive what they need and deserve, understand their relationships better, and improve themselves with each new conflict they face.
Thanks for your interest in my work!
