Jeffrey Nevaras

Jeffrey Nevaras has been a professional musician since 1991. His education includes completing a BM in Guitar Performance at Berklee College of Music and MM in Music Education from Boston University.

Teaching experience includes approximately 35 weekly private lessons in West Bridgewater, and as faculty at The College of Holy Cross in Worcester MA, Assumption College in Worcester, MA and formerly, Berklee College of Music in Boston MA. His diverse musical and personal experience allows him to not only teach students music fundamentals (scales, chords, reading, theory, improvisational techniques) but also to demonstrate how to implement these fundamentals musically. Thus, creating invaluable tools, they can use that simplify their thinking. My experience epitomizes the “skill set” of what a working professional musician needs to be successful in this competitive era.

Performance experience covers all popular styles of music, including jazz, country, blues, rock, r&b, and classical. This experience includes a variety of musically diverse groups and venues. Playing throughout the U.S. with Country Hall of Fame Inductee Big Al Downing as well as throughout New England with Ricky “King” Russell. Also, performing approximately 200 local gigs annually as the bandleader of Two Way Street, The Jeff Nevaras Band and as the guitarist for the General Business band First Class Band featuring Concetta (whose vocals you hear in Ernie Boch Jr's commercials).

Owning a teaching/recording studio in West Bridgewater, MA. Additional studio experience includes recording for a variety of artists in many studios, including Cyber Sound Studios, Newbury Street Boston MA., Mix One Studios, Boylston St., Boston, MA., Longview Farm Studios in North Brookfield, MA. (where the Rolling Stones recorded), and Rik Tinory studios in Cohasset, MA., (Aerosmith recorded part of their Pump album). Moreover, a session musician, guitarist/vocalist at Stellar Records in Fall River. Stellar Records produces Karaoke recordings; these recordings require precise reproductions of the music that the original artist recorded. This skill sometimes included reproducing guitar solos by country artist Brad Paisley, and “A” list Nashville studio guitarist Brent Mason. Finally, as the owner of a 24-track recording studio, has recorded and produced the music of several artists, as well as recording and producing 2 CDs of original music.
