Samantha Terrell

Samantha Terrell is an American poet and Editor of SHINE International Poetry Series. SHINE features poets from around the globe through an online Spotlight series and a print anthology. In 2026, SHINE hosted its first ever book prize, selecting Kyla Houbolt's 'Mapless' as its debut publish of a full collection. In 2027, SHINE launches SIPS (SHINE International Poetry Series) Press, a convergence of social outreach and the literary arts, with an express mission of amplifying the voices of service-oriented poets from around the world.

Terrell's own work has been widely published, including in Dissident Voice, Door=Jar, Eunoia Review, iamb poetry, Lucky Jefferson, Misfit Magazine, Poetry Quarterly, The Orchards Poetry Journal, Torch & Tinder, and more. She has been a NYSCA and Poets & Writers grant recipient, a Pushcart Prize nominee, a Forward Prize nominee, and was shortlisted for The Letter Review prize, and the Anita McAndrews Poets for Human Rights award. Terrell's newest collection, 'Survival Instincts,' is forthcoming from The Poetry Lighthouse.
