Dylan Thomas wears many hats in life! He is an opera, musical theater, jazz standard, and rock singer; a stage director; an opera company Co-Founder (www.VOPArts.org), an educator of TK-8th; an acting and voice teacher, and a children’s book writer and illustrator. Dylan is also a poet, inspired at a young age by his famous namesake. He has been writing children’s books and poetry his entire life, but after having his extraordinary daughter, his inspiration and desire to educate and, above all, entertain kids through comedy and creativity grew to enormous heights! Kids and adults alike love Dylan’s unique and vibrant illustrations, and his goofy, Dr. Seuss-like sense of humor!
Dylan’s first published book is the one that is most precious to him: “Lizzy the Lake Monster”. Lizzy is the young daughter of the fabled Loch Ness Monster, and she is the most loving, empathetic sea monster you could ever meet! Dylan first drew the Lizzy character over thirty years ago, and he has since developed an entire world of playful cryptids who are Lizzy’s best friends. Keep an eye on this character… you may see her on your kids’ favorite streaming platform soon!
Other published books include The Baby Fairies and The Baby Fairies Rainbow Edition, Gnule-Hair Pot Stew, Phraedy the Phoenix, and Leland Ray Garbate.
