After publishing "The Secret Dance" I realized there was more to share. "Our Adoption Dance" describes the frustrating and exciting issues surrounding the adoption of my seven daughters. "My Healing Dance" details the mistakes and joys concerning my own healing process. I named the series "The Cataclysmic Dance Saga" because the various actions of my former husband caused great devastation for many individuals. I do not have all the answers; I still make mistakes, experience frustration, and deal with various health issues. BUT now I am stronger. It took years, but I finally let go and "forgave" my husband for destroying our family. He used to say I had to forgive and then forget the sins. I will always hate what he did to my daughters, but for my own sanity, I forgave him for his demolition of our family and have moved on with my life.

Early on my daughter said, "This is so embarrassing. I don't want anyone else to know." Initially, I agreed with her, but then realized sharing the disturbing events with someone who "knew" would have helped me tremendously. So I hope my story encourages other women in a similar "dance" to seek hope, peace, love, and joy. Sadly, versions of this story are played out in many families and are often (still) kept hidden. Maybe something like this has occurred to your neighbor, your co-worker, or even in your own family. I hope this series helps to prevent at least one person from remaining in an abusive relationship!
