Sally Lefton Wolfe

Before publishing her first book, “The Survivor’s Legacy: How the Holocaust Shaped Future Generations,” Sally Lefton Wolfe worked as a court reporter in Los Angeles for 30 years. After an injury caused her to retire from court reporting, she did a little acting and found her niche in playing Jewish mothers. She acted in commercials, music videos and short films. She also is an ombudsman/advocate for the elderly at board and care homes and assisted living homes.

Inspiration for her book developed when Sally realized their were significant differences in the lives of her friends who were raised by Holocaust survivors compared to those who were not. As she interviewed people, she recognized that the impact of what the Holocaust survivors endured didn’t end with them. Their experience impacted their children and even later generations. Sally is the daughter of two Holocaust survivors, Sam and Shary Farkas.
