Roger C.

Roger C. is a person in recovery from alcoholism. He launched the website AA Agnostica (https://aaagnostica.org) in 2011. It is “a space for agnostics, atheists and freethinkers in AA” and was the first secular AA website with writers from around the world. With some 700 articles, the site has made a significant contribution to the growth of the secular AA movement.

Via the website, he has written, edited or published a total of ten books. All of these are meant to help those in recovery and especially those who don’t believe that their recovery is dependent upon a supernatural interventionist deity. Perhaps ironically, Roger earned a Masters degree in Religious Studies from McGill University. After moving to Hamilton, Ontario, Canada he launched a “We Agnostics” AA group.
