Steven J. Backman

Steven J. Backman has been writing poems for over twenty five years. His passion for poetry began as a young adult. Steven remembers when his mother Harlene used to write poems on paper and read them to him as a child. Steven’s mother inspired him to write poetry as soon as he showed an interest in composing his own poems. 

Steven loves the sound of water and crashing waves. He enjoys spending time walking along the ocean and being mesmerized by sea life and nature. Steven spends a lot of time walking to explore his natural surroundings. This is how he creates material for his poems. He immerses himself in the beauty of nature which inspires him to write daily.

Steven is keeping his mother’s legacy alive by writing poems about faith, inspiration, compassion, motivation, nature, family, life, love and miracles. People from all walks of life can relate to his heartfelt sentiments and gratitude. Steven’s passion for inspiring his readers truly shines through.
