Hi, my name is Timothy Leng Johnson, better known as Tim, I was born and live in Pontefract, West Yorkshire.
I played rugby union for my school, my local club, Pontefract Rugby Union Football Club and was captain of the Police team.
I joined what was then the West Yorkshire Metropolitan Police in 1979 and served in a variety of uniformed posts until 1992 when I joined the CID.
In 2002 I transferred to the Force Intelligence Bureau working alongside HM Prison Service, dealing with some of the most dangerous criminals in the English penal system. I remained here until retirement in 2009. I was kept on in the department for a further 5 years as a Civilian Intelligence officer and I covered the 2012 London Olympic Games, until finally hanging up my helmet and handcuffs in 2014.
I have been with my wife Sarah for 38 years and we married in 1988. We both enjoy travelling, Greece being our favourite place. In particular the islands of Kálymnos and Skíathos which have been our destinations for a number of years now.
