James Edwin Kee is Professor Emeritus of Public Policy and Administration, George Washington University. He joined GW in 1985 after a career in government policy and administration, working in a variety of roles: legal intern to Senator Robert Kennedy, Counsel to the New York State Legislature, and Budget and Finance Director of the State of Utah. At GW he served as a department chair, senior associate dean and dean in the School of Business and Public Management. His teaching and research interests at GW included public finance, leadership, intergovernmental relations, and public-private-partnerships. He is the co-author of three academic books and author or co-author of numerous journal articles. He and his spouse Suzanne currently live in Germany (summer, where their son is an opera singer) and Portugal (winter).
