Neil Gaw is the author of The Clatterbangs, a laugh-out-loud rhyming series that follows the world’s worst family as they leave chaos, mayhem, and giggles wherever they go. His books are known for their playful language, rhythm, and lively humour, making them favourites for children aged 5–8 and for the adults who enjoy reading with them.
In addition to the Clatterbangs series, Neil writes uplifting and imaginative picture books including Original Ellie, the inspiring story of a young girl determined to create something new; Chugg the Little Caveman, a gentle Stone Age bedtime tale full of warmth; and Albert Ross and Friends, a quirky adventure through a charming animal town filled with heart, kindness, and fun.
Alongside his writing, Neil is a qualified counsellor, bringing empathy, insight, and emotional understanding to every story he creates. He is also an active singer/songwriter, drawing on creativity and storytelling in musical form, and a passionate photographer, always looking for the little moments of beauty and character that spark new ideas.
Neil’s work across these creative fields influences the way he writes: with compassion, imagination, and a deep love of helping children feel confident, inspired, and joyful. He lives in the North West of England, where he continues to write, create, and dream up new adventures for young readers.
